The CQ Frames and Trusses manufacturing facility combines innovative design, advanced construction techniques, and exceptional project management to create a highly efficient manufacturing plant that addresses the growing demands for affordable housing in Queensland. The 5532m² facility utilises light gauge material and an innovative webbed truss design to achieve a 50m clear span over 104 metres, while maintaining structural integrity and stability, pushing the limits structural engineering. The webbed parallel truss distributes load effectively, enabling the large, open space required for operations. As a result of the completely clear under-roof design, as well as the 6m free-standing cantilevered awning, machinery such as low-mast forklifts are able to mobilise without obstruction, ensuring workflow production remains efficient and productivity is maximised.
