Hyundai Rotem
Manufacturing Facility
The Hyundai Rotem Manufacturing facility forms part of the Queensland Government’s commitment to bringing train manufacturing back to Queensland. The 30,000m² development will be instrumental in the construction of 65 passenger trains and will boost employment in the Wide Bay region significantly for years to come.

Approximately 2,400 tonnes of structural steel was used in the construction of the structure and more than 20,000 cubic metres of concrete was used to construct the slabs. Around 2.3km of new road has been constructed from the facility gatehouse to the manufacturing facility.
