But you didn’t hear it from us: the proof is in the projects.
To demonstrate our capabilities, here are 3 IDC projects being developed in Bundaberg:
Civil and Industrial: Moonaboola Development
The Moonaboola Development comprises the purpose-built expansion of two local manufacturing facilities, Moddex and Bendpro, in addition to the formation of a new and exciting business, Galco, a state-of-the-art hot dip galvanising facility that houses robotic technology, all designed to the highest standards. IDC is engaged for Early Contractor Involvement – Design and Construct for these 3 advanced manufacturing facilities and is overseeing the development of this 80,000 sqm site.
Industrial: Hyundai Rotem Manufacturing Facility
The Hyundai Rotem Manufacturing facility forms part of the Queensland government’s commitment to bringing back train manufacturing within the state. The footprint of this facility is approximately 30,000 sqm, almost three times the size of Suncorp stadium. IDC is engaged for Early Contractor Involvement – Design and Construct, and has been responsible for approximately 2400 tonnes of structural steel used in the construction of the facility, more than 20,000 cubic metres of concrete used to construct the slabs, and around 2.3km of new road from the facility gatehouse to the manufacturing site. This development will be instrumental in the manufacturing of 65 passenger trains, set to boost employment numbers significantly for years to come.
Residential: SSS Community Unit Complex
The SSS Community is set to be Bundaberg’s top hostel and worker’s accommodations developed by SSS Strawberries. IDC is engaged for Early Contractor Involvement – Design and Construct and is overseeing the project. This development consists of 48 units / duplexes in central Bundaberg, with leisure and recreational facilities included onsite. The single-story dwellings within the community are a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom standalone units with private outdoor spaces and garage parking.
